This Wiki was created to plan the LHRIC Staff Day

IDEAS:

Kick Off Session to introduce the concept and provide a 09/10 services guide overview.
Consider having Jim, the RCs and/or Elaine/Rob/John could give the service guide piece since they are most familiar with all services, this will also help getting everyone involved.

Send out survey to staff prior to meeting to get ideas of what should be offered to the staff

Consider an organization structure for workshops in to like groups (financial applications, productivity tools, classroom solutions) and main idea categories (soft skills, tool training, familiarization/overview).

Add specificity for some of these, for example is the workshop a conceptual overview or actual "how to" training.

Add a rating system based level of interest (very interested, somewhat interested, no interest.

Get feedback from managers about PD they believe their department would benefit from.

LT Suggestions- 2-19-09
Should we make this mandatory or not? Possibly one required and one not.
Add Personal (soft) skills- like effective coordination. Some accountability is needed
List out some workshops already available such as “Writing for the Web”
Possibly use a consultant
Other possible areas:
-Conducting an effective Meeting
-Team building
Use courses/seminars already provided- both off and online. Provide a catalog and organize for our staff.
